Why can't you just stay away from where you're not wanted? Really, that playful argument that you thought was lock worthy didn't sit right with you? I checked your stupid rule list too and from what I can see, that lock was unwarranted.

Not that I'm 100% of the relevance or whatever, but way more accurate GIFs featuring the real unicode-laden code screen are at least the top four results if you just type "matrix gif" into google.

I'd be more impressed at some kind of flashification of it so it actually does produce randomised code, or even responds in a noticeable but non obvious manner to user input eg mouse movements...

Yeah, sorry, I didn't notice that before. That is one hideously underoptimised GIF. You could have thirty seconds of DVD-resolution MPG4 at the same framerate appearing as a SWF or FLV in the background for less smeggerbytes than that. And it also probably wouldn't result in a hilariously blurry thumbnail neither.

Doesn't really sound like a coherent argument to me. They have enough other boards, why can't they just add another subfolder for something like /eh/?

Maybe they're unable to get enough mods together to police yet another board, or they want paying (too much), and the 7chan ones are cool enough to do it pro bono or for less moneys?

This post brought to you by my discovery earlier today that Geocities, by the time Yahoo gave up on hard disks and server virtualisation coming along soon enough to finally make it profitable on ad revenue alone, had fully 700 subgroups. And the size of its userbase was insane.

It does also smack a bit of saying you can't add another newsgroup subscription to a server when you already have a couple hundred, the new one will be fairly low traffic, and you're not actually adding many more users, but instead mainly spreading the existing ones a little more thinly.

I just had a very annoying accidental Ban incident due to browsing 7Chan between downloading songs from 4shared.

I grew sick of waiting longer and longer each song i downloaded, they have a download delay that grows longer each song you down load within a certain time. After deciding to turn on my PrivitizeVPN program to see if the masking of my actual IP would fool 4shared into reseting the time delay, I found a new song, and tried it, while having 7chan in a second tab. after finding out that the VPN doesn't fool 4shared, i gave up and closed out that tab.

Yet when i clicked on a different board, i got a message that i was permabanned on grounds that was not of age...

Realizing that it was probably that someone was banned while using my VPN program, i shut it off and clicked back and went to a new board from the home page. It worked, for that one time. As apperently it still said i had done something wrong by clicking off my VPN and permabanned my actual ip.

After resolving it, i suggest to people that they avoid using a VPN program for anything, because even if you are just a lurker like me, they ban you.

Thanks to Cable for unbanning me even though my Cell and HD Webcam couldn't make a clear image of my Drivers License.
