3 questions.

1. Why does the /sm/ board have "real stories"? Even though I've yet to see anyone admit to anything illegal there, that thread is asking for trouble. It wouldn't be allowed on /ss/ or /cake/ (explicitly banned on the latter, even), it shouldn't be allowed on /sm/.
2. Why is western art banned from /cake/?
3. What happened to the nekomimi and futa boards?

1. Because someone hasn't been doing their job. Shitty stories should be in /elit/ if they are works of fiction.
2. Because, like all fuckugly western shit-doodles, it's terrible. And I, personally, try to keep all the garbage posts out of /cake/. Also, /pco/ exists for a reason.
3. Nekomimi is fairly vanilla. So it's been incorporated into /h/. Futa is in /d/

Not sure if just me, but every time I reply to a thread, when it redirects back to the board's front page, the upper right hand options (hide thread, watch thread, expand thread, quick reply) for all the posts disappear.

The icons return when I refresh the page though. What's causing this?

Also, the ad that pops up at the bottom of the screen every time I visit 7chan lags the shit out of my computer for about 15 seconds.

Didn't this place used to have a tf2 board?
I drop in here for a while every year or so.

Oh and I guess to make this even more site discussion related, it's my opinion that there are too many boards for the amount of users actively posting here. I feel like some could be combined, or things with a specific board could be allowed in other boards, increasing the amount of people using it.

Yes we did have a TF2 board but it became redundant quickly as people lost interest in posting there, as with most boards that have been removed.

Hey everyone, I just have a serious question here. Why is it that when I go to this site and visit any board that I get a lot of malware hits and redirects? This usually happens when I use Internet Explorer 9 and yes I know you guys hate this piece of shit browser. I have to use five (5) browsers depending on which computer I'm using BTW and on those other four (4) browsers, those malware hits never come up. Those computers are protected with good anti-virus and anti-malware also. Do those other browsers have some sort of default setting that blocks this shit? Are these malware hits and redirects some sort of advertising? I just want to know what is going on.

In short, the mod started working for Kerbal Space Program, and between that and school he didn't have time to maintain the server anymore, so it was shut down. And w/o a server the board was dead.

I think the mod was Nexis but I forgets.

Why does it take so long for people to post in recent years? We have threads from last year still hanging around in some boards, if not the year before that. I remember when I started visiting 7chan, it seemed pretty active to me. Is everybody just lurking now, or are there really just that few of us left?

I stick around 7chan because punishment to newfags/furfags/bronies is swift and merciless. The way it should be, but 4ailchan abandoned that one cornerstone and Gods above, they have a /pony/ board now. They're just one step away from being another social network site. Besides that, discussions are far more civlized and calm as opposed to the ADHD-fueled raging of 4ailchan. They may have the majority, but we are the cream of the crop. As the saying goes, quality over quantity.

/gif/ needs apng support because we live in the future, dammit, and it's time to start acting like it.

Of course, if you decide to actually do that, you'll likely want to increase your file size limit so that won't get in the way like it did for more than a few of the example pictures I tried to post.

I'd love to, but APNG support is limited to Firefox really. There's a Chrome extension, but when I last tested it, it messed with the HTML of the page and broke inline image resizing.
