How fast is 7chan?

>>
CandleJack 13/08/13(Tue)09:36 No. 7501

A little bit slower than cold tar dripping down a funnel; a little bit faster than the erosion of Mt. Everest; about on the same level as the flow of a period coming down the frigid vagina of a witch half-buried in permafrost at the South Pole (I was about to say North Pole, but I'm pretty sure it's all melted this year due to global warming.)

Pretty average speed, really.

if i had to describe it, it would be like hot wax dripping on bare skin

slow, but satisfying, with the occasional orgasm.

The 4 day difference between post times here tells me this site is somewhat slow. Oh well!

Apparently slow enough to bump a thread from a year ago.

It was fairly fast in the mid to late 2000s though. I remember it used to be the first stop for refugees fleeing from 4chan, especially when its server would fail.

My guess is that over-moderation killed it.

more bans = less posts

Also happy anniversary This Thread!

niggertits mods go through your post history and try to troll you with it

You can't really expect some site discussion board to be that fast though. Probably a good half or more of the traffic is directed to /b/

I personally it more or less the fact that 7chan literally has no direction to go now. What exactly do the admins and mods plan to do for the future? How the hell would anyone be able to speed up the boards?

>>
Anonymous 14/08/16(Sat)23:01 No. 8281

>>8272
It was only fast when the niggertits idiots came here. When they don't flood this website with shit drivel and retarded faggotry, some boards are faster (/tg/, /b/, /eh/), while some are slow as pitch (/wp/, /lit/, /banner/, etc.). See now, whenever they came here, they tended to post a bunch of bannable fuckery without lurking first or using common sense. This includes furry shit outside of /fur/, ponies, demotivators, non-quotation greentext, talking about how they came from niggertits, etc. Then they got banned, some of them permanently, and now the site is slower but better because of it.

As to whether or not the site is over moderated, I explained this in another thread:
It's easier to say what you can't post rather than what you can post. When the inverse becomes true, that's when the site is over moderated.

>>8280
By adding new and better boards and combining redundant boards into one. This is the purpose of /777/. The mods and admins don't seem to be paying much attention to it though. There's supposed to be a new /777/ subject every month or something like that, but we've had Automotive for how long now? Two, three months, maybe longer. It might be because there have been no good suggestions in that time, but I can't say for sure.

I was gonna start a thread here to ask for a /3DPD/ board, but peeps are pretty against it. Being a lazy turd is holding me back, these days the plugins for shaders and whatnot are superb so it shouldn't be bannable anymore imo.

This thread is over a year old and it's still only on page 1 of the board before this bump?

That slow enough for ya?

it's a damn shame. even the large majority of niche porn and SFW chans seem to be more active than this entire website

anyways, off to 7+1chan I go, towards greener pastures

I bet this thread will be up for another year

They do have WebM with sound with unlimited size, thats pretty cool and the owner is a pretty cool guy and you can make your own boards.

I can't see making your own board working well with a futaba style imageboard. let alone with kusabax.
I also can't find a dubiously advertised imageboard stuffed with a recent 4chan exodus being anything I want to associate myself with.

From where do you think the great 7 came?

The difference is 7chan was quick to disassociate itself with 4chan culture very quickly, whereas 8chan openly embraces it.

The only chans worth visiting are none of them. There's literally nothing I can think of doing in cyberlife that doesn't require me to be bored to death.

Maybe someday some new shit will be created that I can actually enjoy browsing. Either that or I get a social life before I commit soduku.

Eh, I personally find 8chan to be a mixed bag as a whole. I do like the decision with the 'create your own board' feature and WebMs with sound, but my biggest problem is with the admins open-armed welcoming of 4chan users. He near literally wants to import the worst of current 4chan users (/v/, /pol/, and a fair share of /int/ and /b/), just for the sake of increased traffic while getting the steadily lower quality content leaking onto boards like /v/ and /tech/. And there's the 100% cancerous /baphomet/ also.

I'm seriously thinking of creating my own imageboard, but that's completely isolated from chan culture as a whole, while still being anonymous.

>>8513 here,
I'm not exactly sure about others, but I'm okay with 4chan on "slower" boards (/gd/, /tg/, /o/), but with EXTREMELY small, occasional does as of now, before realizing yet again of how much 4chan has gone down the shitter for years and will continue to do so until some company buys it up, which will then cause the site to fully go below the bottom of the barrel and into Earth's core. It's also what I suspect is what will also cause a similar decline for 8chan (though one could say it's already happening now).

Nattajerk 15/02/11(Wed)22:19 No. 8520

I come back to my statement of 8chan's dubious advertising campaign. 8chan embedded flashes, astroturfing their site on every board.
We have pornbots that are more subtle.

It just leads me to believe that anybody that could associate themselves with a site that advertises like a Russian botnet isn't really the kind of crew I want to associate myself with.

Even worse is that 8chan's admin somehow thought that advertising onto Reddit's /r/4chan subreddit was a good idea at all. I'd go far enough to say that the subreddit's arguably worse, considering it's just reposted screenshots from /b/ or /v/, but filtered through the eyes of a 13 year old memespouter, too scared to go onto those boards.
