/be/ is gone Anonymous 15/03/20(Fri)01:50 No. 8562

File 142681261391.png - (1.10KB , 19x19 , 11.png )

I see that why you had to remove it because of the lack of moderation. But if you had a moderator from the beginning, would it be possible to relaunch the board?

Anonymous ## Admin ## 15/03/20(Fri)02:05 No. 8563

We had a discussion this morning about the board, since people were tired of seeing dog dicks in the post log. Nobody moderated it, nobody WANTED to moderate it, and the overwhelming majority of the mods and admins wanted it gone. This, and the fact that beastiality is illegal everywhere. It was just a big fucking spammy mess filled with blog links and dog dicks, and nobody wanted to touch it, even the mod who was assigned it in the first place.

So no. Go away.

Anonymous 15/03/20(Fri)02:17 No. 8564

Welp, off to 8ch it is.

Anonymous 15/03/20(Fri)06:08 No. 8565

>This, and the fact that beastiality is illegal everywhere.

I hope you guys realize how slippery a slope that is.

Aeda+Tzebua 15/03/20(Fri)06:35 No. 8566

damn it

Anonymous 15/03/20(Fri)08:40 No. 8567

Yup, deleting 7chan bookmark now. It was a pretty dead board anyway.

Anonymous 15/03/20(Fri)09:08 No. 8568

File 142683891929.jpg - (99.63KB , 998x810 , 1408841280574.jpg )

I'm not positive how slippery slope applies here, but regardless; That's one reason of many.

Just my two cents, but we wanted it gone for ages, the warning when we put the board back in was "use it or lose it" - and given it was just spamlinks to other sites to begin with it's better off gone than a liability on our part.

Personally, I think it was a pockmark on us. If you had the porn boards expanded you would get /be/ in your post feed, and nobody wanted that. It leaves a sour impression, at the very least.

In conclusion, you will have to find somewhere else to discuss these extreme paraphilias, as it's no longer a weight on our backs.

/be/ Anonymous 15/03/20(Fri)11:24 No. 8569

There are better reasons to hang out at 7chan than just dog dicks, people, really.

Hats off to the mods.

Anonymous 15/03/20(Fri)14:15 No. 8570

Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Anonymous 15/03/21(Sat)02:21 No. 8571

Good buy 7chan.

Anonymous 15/03/21(Sat)06:33 No. 8572

Only reason to come here, now gone.

Anonymous 15/03/21(Sat)09:28 No. 8573

For one thing, bestiality isn't illegal "everywhere". Even in the freaking USA the actual PORN of it is legal; just the act is illegal.

You know what is "illegal" basically everywhere? Child porn. What I meant was that caving into social mores about what and what isn't acceptable types of pornography is a slippery slope that starts with /be/ and then takes out /sm/ and /cake/. You might as well eliminate /fag/ and /men/ because over 75% of the world criminalizes homosexuality.

Pretty soon you won't have fucking anything left here.

Nattajerk 15/03/21(Sat)10:51 No. 8576

File 142693146987.png - (577.77KB , 624x720 , 1408869405560.png )

This same argument was given the last time we took out /be/. this same argument remains invalid.

/be/ depicts real people with real animals.
/cake/, /ss/, and /sm/ depicts drawn people as a certain age.

keyword, drawn, they are not real. and you would have to be a complete sociopath to confuse the two.

however, thats not to say it's not possible in the future lolicon and shotacon will be outlawed in the US. it's not likely given it was ruled out before and falls under free speech, but if that were the case we would have to comply.

And are you really connecting homosexuality and bestiality? Is that really on the same plateau for you? You're going to have to come up with something better than that.

Nattajerk 15/03/21(Sat)11:09 No. 8577

Ultimately though, It's not just what the U.S.A. says is illegal or not; It is also what we say isn't allowed. If we do not want to host bestiality - and there's good reason we do not want to - we are not obligated in any way to host it. We've hosted this what, three, four times so far? At least since I've been a user. Not once has it ended positively.

/be/ isn't coming back. You're welcome to stay to talk about other things, but that part of our community is over.

Anonymous 15/03/21(Sat)12:18 No. 8578

Beastiality under the US falls under State Laws not Federal. And the legal terms isn't anywhere defined as Beastiality. It falls under the same as "Crimes against nature."

What is a crime against nature? Anything that is said to be Unnatural and breaks the laws of nature.

In Alabama this broad term bans the sale of all sex toys, from vibrators to dildoes. To anal and oral sex with another partner, same sex or not. Even jacking off is considered this offense. But in Florida anal is perfectly legal and they too have crime against nature laws.

Again state laws here... and it is very very hairy.

Anonymous 15/03/21(Sat)21:35 No. 8579

rip /be/, u will be mist.

Anonymous 15/03/21(Sat)22:43 No. 8581

The first time was a tragedy but this time it was quite dead.

Honestly I could've moderated it, but didn't volunteer because I literally thought I would be dead by now.

Not as big a deal because 8ch has a board:
Or for you clearnet plebs:

In general possessing zoo porn is only illegal in UK and Australia, but it is true that it's illegal to distribute in a lot of places.

I stopped browsing /be/ because 7chan read-bans Tor nodes and I got tired of firing up a different proxy just for one site.

Anonymous 15/03/21(Sat)22:49 No. 8582

RIP Lorf's rightful reputation.

Anonymous 15/03/21(Sat)23:13 No. 8583

(well I stopped browsing most of 7chan cause of that, but you get the idea)

Anonymous 15/03/22(Sun)08:54 No. 8586

8chan's /zoo/ is a fucking ghost town. It's even slower than /be/ was.

Anonymous 15/03/23(Mon)11:31 No. 8588

That's fine. That's not even its problem. Its problem is it's frequented by those stupid tumblr kids.

Anonymous 15/03/24(Tue)01:50 No. 8589

>>So no. Go away.

Lel, another tiny-minded, sleazy little moderator.

I fuck over people like you at work all day long. You talk big, you make policies that you think comply with other, higher policies that are more policy-y.

And then it all gets handed down to the guy who gets paid the least and doesn't give a fuck. He then opens up the gates and everyone wakes up tomorrow and continues doing whatever the fuck they want by his good graces.

Is legality what matters to you? Do you feel safer in that world? Happier? I've never been in it and I never will.

Let's experiment with capitalism. Ban me, I'll never find out if you do one way or another cuz I'm not coming back. You're #7 of n.

(k bye)

Anonymous 15/03/24(Tue)02:01 No. 8590

The illegality wasn't really the main issue. It's that nobody was using it and nobody wanted to moderate it.

I volunteer as the new mod of /be.

I am not in the mood for a discussion about the legal status of zoophilic pornography I just want you to know that
/be was one of the best zoo-related imageboards on the internet and a lack of moderators should not be the reason for taking down such an amazing place.
It was very well known in the zoophilic community as a board of great unique content, freedom and reliable source of informations on zoo-related topics.

Anonymous 15/03/25(Wed)00:38 No. 8593

Nah. I agree with /be/gone. It was a shitty board with shitty content. Best on the net? You guys should search more on Bing, Yahoo and Google for ducks sake. It isn't that hard.
Totally agree with the mods, and 7chan is better off without it.

Nattajerk 15/03/25(Wed)04:13 No. 8594

I'm afraid it's too early to make a request like that, our biggest complaint was that the mod log was full of dog dicks. It certainly detracted from our appetites of regular dicks while keeping this place under order.

The mod that was tasked with it didn't log in enough to clear it, and indeed, it's not entirely his fault. You can't be on 7chan 24/7, and there's a lot of us on at different times of the day.

If a board for zoophiliacs ever comes back, it's going to be a worksafe board of people platonically snuggling their pets.

Anonymous 15/03/25(Wed)06:03 No. 8595

>If a board for zoophiliacs ever comes back, it's going to be a worksafe board of people platonically snuggling their pets.

That sounds like... /ani/. Why did you guys kill /ani/ again???

Anonymous 15/03/25(Wed)06:07 No. 8596

You can't imagine how much it sets off my OCD that there's still a /fur/ board while /ani/ got the axe.

Nattajerk 15/03/25(Wed)07:12 No. 8599

That was before my time, but I remember when that happened. Sad times. some boards were removable, sure, but a lot good boards were removed.

I don't remember the exact reasoning of why certain boards were removed, its definitely something to bitch about.

Anonymous 15/03/27(Fri)05:28 No. 8603

I think low traffic used to be a big reason for removing boards.

Doesn't seem to be one now.

Anonymous 15/03/27(Fri)06:58 No. 8604

>Doesn't seem to be one now

Nattajerk 15/03/27(Fri)08:49 No. 8605

yeah that goes without saying, but some of the boards were high traffic. gfx at the time, for example, somehow got flagged and removed.

of course, this is why we have /777/ - though some of the suggestions are often silly.

Zed 15/03/30(Mon)07:08 No. 8609

I was able to do it until I got a full time job. Oh well, load off my back.

Anonymous 15/04/19(Sun)09:17 No. 8625

I can understand why you deleted /be/, sad as it is, and I only wish I'd known you were looking for mods for it. However, I wanted to address this:

> /cake/, /ss/, and /sm/ depicts drawn people as a certain age.
> keyword, drawn, they are not real. and you would have to be a complete sociopath to confuse the two.
> however, thats not to say it's not possible in the future lolicon and shotacon will be outlawed in the US.
> it's not likely given it was ruled out before and falls under free speech, but if that were the case we would have to comply.

The law was invalidated once, and Congress passed it again. It has not been invalidated again. There have been several prosecutions and convictions under it.

I agree that U.S. lawmakers are a bunch of turds, but the situation as it stands now is that drawn representations of blatantly childlike cartoon characters having sex WILL get you prosecuted under U.S. law. If that's not what "illegal" means, I don't know what the definition is.

Thanks for reminding me, I'll ask Saz about it.

Anonymous 17/02/03(Fri)06:53 No. 9136

Why must you guys be such fucking homos? Nobody's asking for a hero here. Just go in there every 36 hours or so and ban every single poster. Geez.

Anonymous 17/03/25(Sat)01:26 No. 9178

Anonymous 17/04/07(Fri)04:55 No. 9184

Maybe nobody wants to have a bunch of dog dicks and worse in their cache for the TLAs to bust their door in over.
