This is the current global site message on 7chan. Been for a while.

"Click here for the web player" leads to:
http://www.7chan.org/channel7.htm
which is a 404. You are missing an L at the end there.

I thought it would be fixed soon but I guess you're not noticing and someone isn't telling you so might as well be me.

Thanks for letting me know, it's not that I missed the l originally, it just didn't need it previously (iirc), it should be fixed now.

TONIGHT:

To the person who posted to the Saturday thread regarding skipping:

From my experience, the skipping seems to be experienced almost exclusively over wifi. If I'm watching the stream on a portable device over wifi the stream will stop even if it's moved very slighty. This seems to be most apparent when the films are encoded with a higher bitrate, though it doesn't appear related to someone's download speed. Perhaps latency or something else is the culprit here? I'm not sure.

While it's entirely possible that this is the case, I for some reason doubt that this guy was intelligent enough for this sort of thing. Usually the type of people to use the phrase "Punk Ass Bitch" are the type of people who need help when the login window at their email service has changed slightly.

Slow internet here, I have trouble watching streams but if i'm able to let it load for 5 minutes or so I can get through a movie. Will I be able to watch? Tried it and it seems to freeze a lot and I have to reload page, not sure if that's just me.

256~300kbit? Are you living in some alternate reality version of Missouri, or possibly communicating with us through a wormhole from the 20th century?

The first broadband I ever got, back in about 2000, was 512kbit already...

I only had 0.5Mb/s down until recently and never had any problems unless I was downloading something at the same time. So you might be Ok...

It worked fine yesterday for everyone as far as I know. I didn't get this message until this (Saturday) morning, but I watched it for several hours last night and nobody reported any issues with me.

If you ever have an immediate problem like this come on IRC #channel7 and let one of us know. I or someone will get to it on the board, but it's slow moving so there's no point to F5ing it for updates.

We did, however, have a problem on Thursday for a few minutes, but it got resolved quickly.

Sometimes when things like this happen it can just be your client herp-a-derping, try opening just radio.7chan.org:8000/CH7, or saving the .m3u playlist from radio.7chan.org:8000 and then opening that manually in VLC.

Alternatively there's always the web stream and/or IRC for help.

More fundamentally, no, it often does not go a full 24 hours.
Check radio.7chan.org:8000 to see what streams are up.
