www.meetmyminion.com/ has a few different series running at the moment, Lydian Option seems most promising while Wizard School is good for a cheap laugh. Updates whenever they update.

Goats has a gigantic archive but has been on hiatus so the creator could work on Scenes From A Multiverse, I think he also got bored with the story after 13 years. It will be returning on a weekly basis if he gets $10K more on his kickstarter, which is not unlikely.

Spacetrawler is a space opera with mostly dark humor. Updates twice a week.

Schlock Mercenary has not missed an update in over a decade. It is light space opera. Updates daily.

Drive is a lighthearted space opera with the occasional dark moment.

Anything by Kristofer Straub is hit and miss, but worth looking at for the hits.

Lessee... most of my Comix bookmark folder:
Gunshow, Scenes from A Multiverse, Romantically Apocalyptic (makes fuckall sense but the art is gorgeous), The Intrepid Girlbot (on hiatus), The Abominable Charles Christopher. You guys probably already know about Dr. McNinja, Nedroid, Lackadaisy Cats, Subnormality, Dresden Codak and xkcd. Also DeepFried/Weapon Brown, Bug by Adam Huer, most of the stuff on Riotfish.com, and Space Avalanche.

Achewood is required reading. Dude took a very long hiatus recently and updates pretty infrequently since his 'return', but there's about ten years of archives on the site and it's all just real good shit.

Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal is pretty good, it's a lot like PBF from what I remember.

Subnormality is amazing if you don't mind walls of text.

Hark A Vagrant is just wonderful.

FreakAngels is neat, it's by Warren Ellis so check it out if you like his stuff.

anyone remember Megatokyo? I used to like it like ten years ago, been meaning to go back and read it all for closure, but I doubt I'd like it much now.

I actually never found Achewood that funny. I can understand the punchlines and why people would think it's funny, but it's like the comic just can't make me laugh.

It does have a pretty distinct style of humor, and even if you're on board with that it's not always laugh-out-loud funny. But there's a lot of good character-driven storytelling in there too. Roast Beef's development as a character has been really cool to watch; Onstad really knows what he's doing IMO.

I like some that aren't already listed (unless I missed them):
-Buttersafe
-Goblins (A Dungeons and Dragons theme. The transformation of the quality is really amazing)
-Order of the Stick (Another D&D theme if you're into that)
-Oglaf for funny, very nsfw stuff
-ChannelAte
-Cyanide & Happiness

That's all I can remember at the moment.

xkcd, Questionable Content, Sandra and Woo, Dr. McNinja, Awkward Zombie, Penny Arcade, Cyanide and Happiness, Hanna Is Not A Boy's Name, Phoenix Requiem, Slightly Damned (only before they left hell and the Darius flashbacks).

Seconding this recommendation.

"Jack" is really, really good. If you aren't paranoid about furry art and can deal with mature subject matter maturely you'll find it to be one of the most powerful literary achievements you've ever read. I've read plenty of webcomics and I have to say it is the best one I know of.

>>
Unamericano 12/04/19(Thu)11:20 No. 22776

Also, if you played The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, you should check out Prequel Adventure. It's a cute character and fun, yet slightly heart wrenching story.

I have been enjoying Finders Keepers. Sometimes the perspective is a bit off but its well drawn and full color which is nice. But then again I'm kinda biased since the creator's brother introduced me to the comic.

"When we see cartoons, they immediately cause our mind to assume that what we are about to witness will be humorous. Not necessarily child-friendly humor, as anyone can agree that adult cartoons have been around quite long enough for us all to accept that they exist, but we expect humor nonetheless, for that is the nature of cartoons themselves. The way a character is designed tells things not only about the character's nature, but also about the work they are featuring in."

Yeah these articles are based on an abundance of expectations and preconceived notions. You're entitled to your opinion but I stand by mine.

Though it doesn't take itself too seriously, so I won't either. I've just never found insult humor to be very humorous. That is if it is insult humor. The lack of inflection creates a Grey area that leaves me wondering what the point of the article is.

This's one of my favorite webcomics right now:

http://www.murderbookcomic.com/

It's a series of short self-contained 10-15 page crime-related comics. The writing and the art are all awesome. The dude hasn't kept to his schedule (a new 10-15 page comic every month, not a MWF schedule like other webcomics), which sucks, but it's hard to pay a quality artist to do 10-15 pages every month, especially when it's a good series, so it's understandable, and he's supposedly having a lot of new stories coming out consistently in the future.

Tails Gets Trolled looks like a shitty crossover fanwank clusterfuck, but beneath its Paint.NET façade you'll find a surprisingly enjoyable crossover fanwank clusterfuck with a bunch of unexpected twists. http://lazerbot.deviantart.com

I also would recommend three comics in the "historical figures acting totally wacky" genre: Thinkin' Lincoln ( http://www.thinkin-lincoln.com/ ), Hipster Hitler ( http://www.hipsterhitler.com/ ), and Dead Philosophers In Heaven ( http://www.dead-philosophers.com ).

I enjoyed it until Tat was apparently castrated last year. The Barak Star/Sarah Piglin stuff four years ago got old quick. But at least he didn't drive that into the ground like he is the Sisterhood arc.

Never read Gunnerkigg Court, but from the front page I like the art work. I might need to give it a try.

Not already mentioned:
Unsounded http://www.casualvillain.com/Unsounded/ - magic, zombies, great art.

Gunnerkrieg Court was good while it was mysterious. Now I just look at the art while a story slowly congeals.
