This morning I ate three biscuits with my coffee.
Usually I only eat two, but it happens I am hungry after that. And being hungry is uncomfortable.

My breakfast strategy this month has been to bake a slab of bread on the weekend. During the week I'll eat a larger or smaller chunk with my coffee, depending on how hungry I am.

Essentially the same strategy as yours, John.

John Smith 17/06/15(Thu)05:37 No. 46079

I usually abstain from eating breakfast

John Smith 17/06/15(Thu)06:34 No. 46080

Same here. I wish I did eat because I find myself so tired and my stomach pangs with something akin to hunger for most of the morning, but my palate and brain are revolted by the notion of solid food until about 3pm.

Personally, I try to make sure I eat breakfast every morning, as I really don't care for filling myself up with lunch and making my afternoon work drag, due to my being full.
I generally have a cup of coffee, maybe some oj, 2 slices of wheat bread, and a cup of oatmeal with blueberries on top. Sometimes I'll go with raspberries if the blueberries aren't looking so good at the store.

I wish I could find a place that sells boysenberries though. Boysenberries, ripe, and in-season are, well, too interesting for this board i'm afraid.

I hope I haven't ranged too far from /eh/-dom.

That sounds like a nice breakfast, John.

Fruit might be a good choice for John who doesn't care for solid food. Something like oranges or grapes that are mostly juice could work.

I never got into drinking coffee. I enjoy coffee flavored items and I love the smell but I don't handle caffeine well. Coffee milk is quite delicious.

John Smith 17/06/30(Fri)21:43 No. 46107

I find eggs morally fatiguing, so lately I only drink espresso for breakfast.

John Smith 17/07/14(Fri)03:03 No. 46131

I've never heard of such a concept before, John. Coffee milk? I'll have to search for some of that at my local grocery store, it sounds delicious.

John Smith 17/07/14(Fri)04:30 No. 46132

It's Rhode Island's state drink. I highly recommend it.

>morally fatiguing
Would you care to elaborate on this statement, John?

Indeed, as counter-intuitive as it may seem, eating in the morning can give you reduced output of energy and a strong onset of hunger in just a few hours. Fasting (skipping breakfast), on the other hand, will generally give you more energy and will make you feel less hungry.

It also means fasting puts your body into a prolonged catabolic state, which is when body tissue is broken down. This is good if your goal is to lose body weight, but not good if you're like me and struggle to keep it, in which case you should reduce the amount of time between meals as much as possible - most importantly, eat as soon as you wake up and right before you go to bed.

I am out of coffee.
