Alternatively you could faff around disabling/uninstalling the drivers for the on-board keyboard, then prevent Win7 from reinstalling the drivers at boot and then hoping the latest Win7 update doesn't re-enable automatic installation and send you back to square one. Pick the first choice.

Actually he could just disable the device for the built-in keyboard. Then it won't reinstall the device, it'll just be disabled.

Unplug the USB keyboard, then disable whatever keyboard remains in device manager. I usually like to go as far up the food chain as possible though, meaning figure out which USB HID device is providing the built-in keyboard and disable that as well.

Unplugging the broken built in keyboard, but leaving it as a buffer for liquids/foods/crumbs worked excellent.

SATA is SATA. The only size adapter you need is one that can handle 3.5" HDs because the ones designed to handle only 2.5" HDs won't supply enough power to spin up a 3.5" HD.

Your hypothetical client would need to have multiple IP addresses assigned to a single interface and be configured to round-robin TCP/UDP requests. That isn't going to happen if you're running Windows.

Actually I had this happen to my saves once, and near as I could tell the saves were toast. I just started a new game.

I don't know what I did, but all of a sudden it works... what files should I copy to prevent this from happening again? You know I just make a copy and when the game crashes I just replace them with these copies

They can. There are also adapters that fit PCIe slots. And USB slots. And Mini-PCI slots. And MiniPCIe slots. Plus all the various proprietary dedicated slots.

But if they're "built into" a motherboard then it won't use a slot. Its still connected via the appropriate bus but it's integrated into the board, so you don't lose a slot.

if i did get a wifi card that fit into a pci express slot, owuld it work in any type, or should it go in a 3.0 slot?

PCIe 3.0 slots are backwards compatible, and PCIe 3.0 cards are also backwards compatible.

Since even an 802.11ac card couldn't saturate a PCIe 1.0 bus (signaling rate ≠ data transfer rate), it really doesn't matter what generation of PCIe you have.
