Warning this is illegal but you can easily pull this off if you keep your mouth shut.

Go to a dollar store, they usually have a prepaid card you can put up to like 500 and the card is like a dollar. You buy one and put about 10 or 15. you take the card to a gas station and make sure its busy. Use the card as credit. Fill up your tank pass the amount you put in there. Leave the gas station and cut the card.

You typically have to enter zip code information if you use the card at the pump, even if you select credit. If you go inside the store and ask the cashier, you would have to say a dollar amount, you can't just say "put all this card onto pump whatever." Besides that, your car would almost certainly be caught on video doing such a dubious activity even if it did work, which it is highly unlikely to.
Have you even actually done this?

Jason December means in the cold months that hardship comes now but spring will follow.

And I have done the gas trick, I go to a Valero, at gas pumps there are no cameras, I put 15 on the card. I swipe the card, put credit, zip code I use the city I am in. I select grade of gas and start fueling. I stop it at 30 and it ask for receipt. i don't go inside, im in and out in 5 minutes and i never refuel from the same gas station until a week pass. never have a pattern.

I apologize, that's not really too bad of a way sticking it to the gas companies I suppose. Is there a certain type of card you use? Some will stop if you are at a certain limit, I want to say netspend will, but it's been a while since I had one of those since I don't have a car right now. Also is there any reason you don't fill up?

sorry been away for awhile.
I use a gold card that I believe is a golden visa. Multiple ones can be found but I never knew they would be stopped by a gas tank.

99% of gas companies have cameras that watch the license plates and in most states states stealing gas will mean they take your license.

Couldn't you just use the defense that you didn't know there wasn't enough money in the card because you got it as a fucken gift?

Modern Mom 14/11/12(Wed)01:29 No. 2442 ID: 1ea94c

As I recall these re loadable debit cards do require name address and social security numbers for activation. At least that was my case when I needed one.

Hey I'm new to 7chan (4chan betafag) but >>>/jew/ particularly interested me. So I'll be nice and helpful on my first post.

While yes, to a certain degree you are correct, you can also use Greenback Moneypak cards. If you get the one in pic related you can load up to $500 on it without so much as a signature.

However, you do need the money in cash to load it, and a service charge of $4.95 is in order. I just got one today for $200, so it cost me $204.95. Tax was included in the $4.95, I believe.

Anyway, the cashier scans the card to activate it and deposits the cash onto it as an electronic amount and you're good to go. So you could stock pile them from one store and hit the gas station, "not knowing" the difference.

You can pick these up at CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, and other such stores.

this this this this
i just dont see why it wouldnt cut you off at the limit put on the card?

Modern Mom 15/04/19(Sun)02:19 No. 2573 ID: 56ad41

I don't think the card readers are very sophisticated, you can use almost any kind of card.
There were people who were caught using their driver's licenses to steal gas. They all got caught, of course, because their driver's license number was stored by the machine.

Modern Mom 15/05/28(Thu)10:54 No. 2604 ID: df1dec

Well there's actually Vanilla Visa. It's about $5 for the card itself, and you can load up to $500. Greendot and that other shit is complete shit because they charge you monthly and they need your SSN to ultimately fuck you over.
Vanilla visa can be found at CVS or 7/11. They can be a little difficult to spot but they're really nice

I call b.s.

I work as a clerk at a 24 hour pump-yourself, and I have an A+ certification in computer networking. If the purchase is done as a pre-pay, the system will not authorize the pump to start unless the purchase has already cleared. If the purchase is done at the pump, the system is even pickier; I cannot say that it specifically checks the balance of every prepaid card in exactly these circumstances, but the system rejects customers all of the time for reasons far less than an adequate amount of money on the card's account. The method described by OP would simply not work in our system nor any system I know.

I can offer specifics about the networks and software used if someone wants it, but even when I worked at a truck stop a year ago with an entirely different system, the method described by OP would not work their either.

Fuck OP you're retarded.

that shit don't work! Modern Mom 18/11/18(Sun)06:29 No. 3241 ID: 6d522b

gas stations don't accept prepaid credit

That cert is pretty fucking useless if you are jockeying a register.
