Lucasfilm bought by Disney... "Star Wars 7" (unclear whether it is Episode VII chronologically) is set to release in 2015, with a movie "every 2 or 3 years after that."

I have mixed feelings. Work on Episode I began in 1993 I believe, for a 1999 release.

yep, to my understanding, the majority of Star Wars novels are canon (unless explicitly stated otherwise) due to Lucas having the literal final say on the plot/character continuities. Which means, we may end up with a shitty book to film adaptation.

Disney has been good with producing mildly entertaining nostalgia, and they want products that they can franchise. The last thing they consciously want to do is make a shitty Star Wars 7. I enjoyed Tron Legacy and The Avengers. As long as Johnny Depp isn't in it I'll see it.

So now that the Nolan batman is done (It's done right? RIGHT?) I stumbled upon this fan made little gem and their take on a 3rd Nolanman movie.

I'm not a huge movie buff watching fan made stuff all day, but I have to say this caught my attention. It's... amateur'ish, but I quite like the characters (not the actors)

Maybe because the movies are ripped from theatre only discs in their format and it hasn't been converted to 16:9 home video format yet.

Could be. But I usually wait some time (I I stayed away from Avatar (which turned out to be the good move)/The Dark Knight) and still and I got raped in both of my eye sockets.

I remember a thread here on /me/ about Blood & Chrome and its leaked pilot trailer. Oh how we scoffed and rolled our eyeballs at "SyFy".

Well, now they released the pilot on youtube. It's good imo, not quite BSG level, but a damn sight better than Craprica.

The acting is fairly solid and the music is mostly a rehash or remix of BSG stuff. The CG isn't very good though.

Now I REALLY wanna re-watch BSG.
