It's worse in my opinion. Ever see the woman in just her underwear in the trailer? There is absolutely no fucking context for why that scene is in the movie, it's just there. It's honestly like "okay don't look at me while I'm changing OH MY GOD STOP LOOKING". Never in my life have I seen such blatant fanservice. They did it in the first movie but that actually developed Kirk's character a bit.

RLM covered this movie pretty good. All they did during the writing period was think up a bunch of scenarios that they wanted in the movie and then connected the dots, instead of actually writing a decent plot.
