Hello all, once again I am stuck with not being able to remove a watermark. just in case I am refering to the persons name and e-mail addy that appears at the top and bottom of the page of most pathfinder stuff. I have used Adobe Acrobat 9 and 10. i have downloaded and tried a couple of the dewater mark programs, but they did not do well. 1 program that converted the pdf to a word doc actually took it off the watermark, but when converted back to pdf, the titles with the shadows were not aligned, words were not spelled correctly, and case was changed. In other words, I have not had any luck yet. Anyone have a way that they have used that works?

Also, anyone been able to get a copy of the Ultimate Spell Decks? Would like to use them when I get a chance to play again.

A couple people have asked about this. I'm not sure why we we're not helping them out... I'll be a little circumspect, in case the concern is search engines finding this.

Anyway, remove all the # and then google this:

remove#rpg#watermarks#v22

That will lead you to a download for a java based solution. You will need to read the README, and you will need to be able to use the command line (it's a not a point and click solution). If you have questions, ask, but let's refer to it as java-water, so as to keep avoiding the name.

This has worked for me on everything (there may have been one failure) from paiz and rpgstuf. There will be no visible watermarks left. Someone did mention at one time that there was still a hidden mark left, but I haven't heard anyone else confirm that.

There ARE hidden watermarks that all the scripts out there do NOT remove. You MUST remove them manually. The scripts also tend to corrupt files, delete any bookmarks, etc. so you're better off learning how to do EVERYTHING manually.

Interesting. I just manually checked some drivethrustuf pdfs with Acro Pro, and the java process worked, left no hidden watermarks, and didn't break bookmarks.

Paizo's watermarks are practically impossible to crack. Yes, you need to do those manually and not a lot folks are willing to take that kind of time.

They seem to be the only RPG company capable of this somehow. I am surprised their secret has yet to be used by other RPG companies.
