What's the deal with Salvia Divinorum? I hear its legal in most states in America and yet I can't find it ANYWHERE in Australia.. I also want to ask do people grow it themselves in America or does it all get imported from Mexico where it's native to?

I'm asking because I've always wanted to try it, and a lot of people I know want to try it but nobody I know can get their hands on it.

Salvia is found naturally in south america and most if not all the salvia sold in the u.s. comes from growers in the u.s.

You won't have any luck finding it australia so you'll have to buy it online if it is even legall there. Otherwise you will have to buy seeds online and grow which is pretty difficult because salvia seeds don't germinate easily and most growers use clones instead. Other than that you can try SK if they even have it there or just give up.

I've heard of 2 people who grow it in Australia. I haven't seen any myself though. It's illegal here btw.

its illegal in most states. at least most of the ones around me. to be honest, short trips aren't worth the unsettling feeling unless you are into being blindsighted by a beautiful experience only to have it ripped away just as quickly.
tl;dr-chew it if youre lucky enough to have sensible state lawmakers.

As a person who's smoked a shit ton of things, I have to say Salvia is possibly my least favorite. You and your friends are not missing out on much by not having tried it before.
I've smoked salvia probably 20-25 times, and can honestly say it's a waste of effort.

The high is not what it's cracked up to be; everyone says it's so much more potent than marijuana, but in reality, it just feels harsher. It's a dirty kind of high, makes my head hurt, makes me more aggressive, and I've had friends describe a time-dilation effect similar to weed, but I haven't had the issue, nor do I care to continue experimenting with salvia to find out.

Don't listen to this guy.

Salvia will make you trip harder than you ever have before for about 5 minutes, you won't even have realized that your high by the time you've exhaled, you'll just be gone.

It isn't pleasant like other drugs, but it's worth a try.

After 5 minutes you'll come down and be very sweaty and probably want a nap.

Godspeed anon.

This. The only thing that rivals salvia for "in the moment iintensity" is DMT. Except DMT is about 5,000,000 times more enjoyable.

I've done salvia about 10 times and sometimes it sucks ASS other times it can be pretty cool. If you really want to try it look up your local laws and see if you can get it via the internet. If you can get it, make it all or nothing and get some 100x.

The laws have been changing. For the latest, check out Sagewisdom org website. Dan Siebert is a pioneer of salvia. Some states it is legal to grow, just not for human consumption. Erowid is usually has a decent law section. A few years back it came to the senate for a vote. If more people get active we could have prevented it from being restricted.

I too live in australia and have been interested. Unfortunatly salvia 'doesnt seed (or atleast wont for years) thus it is just about inpossible to get seeds. I would just about kill to have a divinors sage plant in my collection.
Anyone seen seeds?

Don't make it sound so hopeless. Marijuana has been illegal for centuries and now it has been legalized in multiple US states in a few years. There are now petitions to legalize LSD and other 'hard' psychedelics (even if that won't happen for a few more centuries). If somebody wants to make a change, they should do it now, not bemoan the past.

Although, that may be what you were getting at... I couldn't tell because of the mixture of tenses...
>get active
>we could have

Anyway, my point stands.

Marijuana has only been illegal in the US for 70-80 years ('37 maybe? can't exactly remember offhand)... Are you sure you know what a century is?
