it's like feeding fish to cid, too cruel too cruel
I saw a playthrough of the recent tombraider game, there was stuff I didn't like about it, but it can be dealt with by a second game easily enough if they go about it right
the background story was okay, script writing was bad and the gameplay looked good, I haven't played it though but it looks like something I wouldn't mind
similarly, ever since I found the tilda ~ key doubles the speed in ZSNES, many of the games I figure were too slow are now way faster, and I can get to the good parts like pressing the attack button and seeing numbers rise + expand then disappear, green for heals, white for damage
the important part of a game, is typically the *game*play, a storyline is just there to give the player's brain something to do with the parts of the brain that don't involve hand eye coordination physical world problem solving
quick time events, they need to be quick time, and (special) events not a consistently spammed oh look at us our special little game is so special type thing, as if the game is their kid and they're showing us all these pictures of it
