US Automatic Rifle Age Limitations Sarah Palin 14/01/23(Thu)06:43 No. 14887 [Reply]

Hello, /w/. Currently I'm 17 and looking at getting a license for a full-auto firearm within the next few years (probably by age 19) and wanted to know if any of you knew the legalities behind age on this.
I understand the process behind what must be done in order to obtain the license to own a rifle of these sorts in my state but am having difficulties finding if one must be 18 or 21 in order to complete this process. I live in the state of Indiana where I know that obtaining a concealed carry requires a person to be at least 21, but not once have I seen a defined answer for automatic rifles.
For the curious: The rifle I'd like to have is a Steyr AUG A3 (pictured)

What I do is grab the grip with my main hand so that the middle finger does the most squeezing and the thumb loosely points towards the target. Then I wrap my support hand around the grip so the meaty part by my thumb covers the bare part of the grip and the fingers overlap. Again, both thumbs don't contact the frame or slide but point at the target and the middle fingers do most of the squeezing. That way both hands are pretty high up on the grip to control recoil while keeping thumbs from brushing against the slide or safety or anything else important.

Basically, like this guy (Dave Sevigny).

After Iraq and finially Afghanistan, I think that the US needs to get involved in Mexico and their Drug War, which is turning bloody. There is much we could do to strengthen Mexico politically and economically, but this is /w/ so let's talk about the military aspect. The period of austery that the US military is now facing could be used to our advantage, since weapons and equipment could be supplied to Mexico on the cheap. Most important I think would be the MRAP vehicles that the military is going to quickly find no use for, UAV's, and helicopters. And the experience gained in Afghanistan and Iraq can be applied to the Drug War through the use of SF as advisors or PMC's. I'm not saying that we should get involved directly. But the US created the problem while it is getting worse and we are ignoring it. Any thoughts on other (military and weapons related things) the US could do?

I have an idea, since this is the /w/eapons board, let's talk about what weapons various areas have access to and how they impact the climate of the conflict and the nature of the wars fought there

in africa from what I get, the fighters are much more in the open, and get the drop on government forces often enough, which is in contrast to (previously) occupied iraq and afghanistan

first off our standing army outnumbers their 5 to 1. while numbers is a huge advantage, they obviously have the home-turf advantage.

A few things they lack:
1. a Main battle tank that come even close to challenging the M1 Abrams, much less a MBT to call their own.
2. Any sort of attack Helicopter that can reliably defeat our Armor.
3. Any reliable means of taking out our carriers, which would undoubtedly anchor offshore once their AA capabilities have been cruise-missled to hell.

I believe their only real option, i we were to fully unleash our military on them, would be to mire us in another long and bloody guerrilla war like the ones in the middle east. Its been proven to work to defeat superpowers.

However Their home advantage will work in their favor quite well. From what i can see there are three main axes of attack we can send our troops through.
1. Ft. Hood -> I35 ->85S down the east coast - would be easier with the amount of materiel and manpower readily available at Hood, coupled with the battle group anchored offshore for CAS and other things.
2. El Paso -> 45S: This would be quite a bit more difficult as this sends our 1st armored Div. through the mountains of Chihuahua. And the rhetoric with tanks is: dont send them through mountains. its stupid.
3. San Diego -> 2/15: this sends our marines through sonora, aided by our pacific fleet.

Uh, I mean, USA #1!

Built an AR15 a month ago. I've only been putting shitty Bear ammo through it so far cause it's cheap and I'm a poor ass college student. My question is: when, if ever, will prices drop back down to ~$350-390 for a case of 1000 decent quality brass cased 5.56 rounds (i.e. PMC, Lake city)?

pic related, it's my AR with unnecessary tacticool shit on it.

I've had an AUG for some years now, and it has never jammed. Not even once.

Sarah Palin 13/09/10(Tue)19:48 No. 14789

Austrian army fag here. We have the Steyr AUG and it has NEVER jammed once while firing live ammunition. The only time when my aug ever jammed was with training ammo
Buy the original from austria.

Sarah Palin 13/11/14(Thu)15:28 No. 14833

Ausfag here, not in the army but I have friends who are and they all seem to hate the AUG. From what they've said I think I probably would too, plastic trigger and what not (but then again, I've spent my entire hunting life with an Ansch├╝tz).

Just saw this video and thought it made some really good points. Especially concerning the whole canoe / boat thing. Nice thing is I already have all the motorcycle gear, too. Pic semi related, it's my bike.

In any case, I'd like to have some discussion on this particular topic. Even though the subject matter is a little less than likely to actually transpire it still puts one at an advantage to be ready for such an occurence.

Please, commence!

canoes would be an effective way to move stuff around, but moving the canoe around is the problem. Unless of course you ive near the water.
as far as land transportation, i think a motorized bicycle is pretty versatile. You can pedal it with the engine off for stealthmode, but if you need to GTFO, or just want to get where you're headed a little faster.

If you know your FISINT (Foreign Instrumentation Signals Intelligence) from your MASINT, you're not really an operator.
