The Taliban outlawed the production of Opium in Afghanistan, then were promptly removed from power by US and UK forces. Is the reason behind 9/11, or a coincidence?

Their motives were already highly questionable. Lets just say...
1. They had much greater motives to invade than decrease in opium production.
2. Even people who don't believe in /x/ or conspiracies belive that 9/11 could easily have been a hoax.
