so is TailyPo a relatively recent story or is it a native american tale or lumberjack folklore or appalachian people folklore or what?
i love that story, but i can't find any good information on it.

also, how much north american folklore and urban legends is plausible/true? i mean there's stuff like bigfoot and weird forest creatures and the jersey devil and all that, but where's the legit stuff? have any of you ever seen something strange in the woods at night?
my friend told me about this weird group of people having some kind of ritual deep out in the woods one night in michigan when he was up there a few years back, but i guess that doesn't really count.

what weird things have you seen?
