Most scenarios only deal with stupid zombies. Let's up the difficulty. What would you do in an outbreak of clever zombies?

By clever, I mean average person clever: smart enough to unlock doors, operate firearms, devise ambushes and formulate plans. Yet also overwhelmingly determined to eat your brains at the first opportunity. In otherwords, we're dealing with zombies with all the benefits of both humans and zombies, and none of the downsides.

"The whole point of zombies"? They are a fictional monster - they can have any characteristics the writer wants to allocate them, for whatever purpose. It is particularly retarded to argue that there is a proper way to represent a make believe creature.

And no, a smart zombie is not just an aggressive person. Aggressive people don't gradually decompose where they stand, they don't have heightened endurance and pain resistance, and they don't have an all consuming desire to eat brains. Most importantly, they aren't the dead, come back to life.

Why would they spoil food and water when they need humans 1. to eat and 2. to reproduce.

You seem to be missing the point dude.

  Okay.

So Zombros i've been thinking about if the zombie apocalypse could happen and I was thinking that maybe the water would be the safest place to go, as far as we know Zombies can't swim but then I came to the conclusion that what if animals started getting infected (like sharks and all) and then they started attacking? Would we all be screwed? What do you think would be the best idea and the best place to be during a Zombie apocalypse.

Sooner or later we'd all be screwed with reproducing food and fresh water, we can't take out billions of zombies in the world, would we all take over a country and keep that safe and under control? Or would you stay and wait for zombies to eventually get weak and die out.

>what if animals started getting infected (like sharks and all)
It's best to imagine it's isolated to Humans/Primates/Mammals depending on the extremity of the scenario, beyond that you're fucked. Fish, birds and insects will ensure that.

If animals get infected, they would most likely be carriers, which is almost even scarier. Meat would be very dangerous.

If life had a soundtrack, what would you want playing in the background when you're decapitating zombies and/or blowing them into bits?

Eventually (hopefully) you're going set up an HQ, whether it be a fortified building, large boat, or mobile convoy. At that point you won't need to lug around every last bit of that survival gear around on your back. Trips into the wasteland should have a purpose: recon, surveillance, resource assessment and procurement, security detail, etc...You can tweak your gear for the task at hand without bogging yourself down with an entire camp's worth of gear. Combat and mobility are generally you're priority, but you also need some spare room to pick stuff up you scavenge. We call this Raid Gear.

So let's see your Raid Gear zombros.

>3. Hard knuckle gloves - Do I really need to explain why it would hurt like fuck if you actually hit someone wearing them? Hello bruises.

Not sure if this is the same thing, but I had a buddy in the Marines who brought over some of these badass gloves with kevlar knuckles. I tried them on and was able to punch straight into walls and a solid wood dresser pretty hard, without feeling anything. The type of force that would normally make your knuckles bleed.

>>
Shambler 13/03/15(Fri)01:10 No. 4452 ID: 7b3f0a

>>4451
It all depends on the cushion inside the glove. Most gloves like that do not come with adequate protection against blunt force trauma. I do not know the gloves your friend brought back so I still wouldn't suggest them.

I have a pair of Rothco and Mechanix hard knuckle gloves. They both let me punch whatever the fuck I want without the pain of bare handed punching. You just have to make sure you buy one with a nice spacious fit, from my experience.

Just a friendly reminder that we have better chances preparing for the depths and thrills and dangers that lie beyond this planet.

Growing up on an Iowan farm, I know how to both hunt and grow plants (this will come into play later).
A buddy and I were dicking around on the computers at school during our yearbook class, since we filled our quota of pages that day, and found this island in canada. Since we were talking about zombies, we bot knew that this was a perfect place to go to in case of zombie outbreak. We figured since the lake(?) is about 2 miles wide at it's least wide part, we'd be relatively safe. We decided on it for sure since it was a nature preserve, so it has plenty of meat producing animals on it, and it's in canada which has a rather low population density. We could either harvest the raw materials of the forests to build shelter, or drive 8 hours to the nearest city and scavenge for supplies there. When the time comes, we both go to save a select few of people that we trust with our lives, who are very few in number, but also provide necessary skills such as cooking, scouting, building and fighting/hunting. What do you guys think?

Sounds like utter bullshit to me. It would be counter-intuitive for the US government to waste resources, murdering what is essentially a free slave labour force. Plus it's pointlessly evil.

If the government wanted to get hold of emergency housing for large numbers of displaced people, they would simply move the folk to large halls, stadiums, or military compounds, building simple structures to keep civilians away from the main base of operations and the munitions. That's generally how it works during major disasters.

>>
Shambler 13/03/09(Sat)05:31 No. 4427 ID: 470a39

>>4389
Man, the government can't even get its collective ass in gear to agree on how to save the economy, how in hell are they going to agree not to use something as wildly illegal as a federal plan to execute state prisoners and forcibly relocate civilians (even under martial law) without having at least ONE politician spill the beans for their own political gain?

Seriously, conspiracies are essentially accusing the government of hypercompetence when they keep showing signs on incompetence.

This man knows hat he's on about. I've had my current pair of Combat boots for 3 yrs now, and they are extremely comfortable, whilst being sturdy as hell.

Heck, I even completed Tough Guy in them.

>>4308
Has a pair of boots, they're comfortable, sturdy and serve him well. They're good boots. If you're not sure what to buy get something like these.

>>4409
>>4414
Have their boots, they're sturdy, long lasting and have been fully broken in. They fit the form of their feet perfectly and as such nobody else is capable of wearing comfortably. These are the boots you want. Your feet will never suffer in them no matter how much you'll feel the loss if they ever give out.

>>
Shambler 13/03/07(Thu)02:14 No. 4416 ID: dafe88

Find out what kind of feet you have and adjust your footware from there. If you can't move your dead in any situation weather it be oncoming zombie apocalypse, hunting, running from the occasional pissed father in law ect... I like red wings they get your pressure points found out how your boots wear and what you should get. I work in the oilfield and am constantly moving twisting ect. You can't afford to lose time because of blisters foot rot and other assorted shit. Do your research and get quality.

Which celebrity or famous figure (living or dead) would you choose as your sidekick, and why? Myself, Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt because he was pretty much a living Chuck Norris joke. An experienced soldier, he and his regiment the "Rough Riders" won critical battles during the Spanish-American war which led to a U.S. victory. As commissioner of the NYPD, instead of sitting in his cushy office all day, he would go undercover and root out deceit and corruption in his police force wherever he found it, promptly dismissing and beating the ever-loving shit of any one of his officers he found accepting bribes or slacking off. Lastly, he showed crucial survival skills, fighting disease, the elements, and hostile tribes and living off the jungle for AN ENTIRE YEAR.

Interested in others thoughts and contributions. Commence.
