So I just finished Val Love. I preordered it from Sentai because the manga was really good and I figured the show would be as well. It's just a normal harem deal, guy happens to room with a bunch of sluts, for justice of course. The manga had a lot of really well drawn erotic stuff and I figured the show wouldn't disappoint.
It actually arrived like a week later, it wasn't even supposed to be out until November. Hell yeah, I thought, started watching it right away. The main character actually comes off a lot more like he should have in the manga, they did a great job with him. He's supposed to be this accidentally terrifying dude who's actually really nice. They did such a good job with this I actually got a theme I might have missed from the manga, that the monsters are coming from him basically.
The sex scenes however are fucking terrible. No nipple tit after no nipple tit, half drawn asses and they even just simply cut out some of the more daring stuff like the clearly below teen age women. Some of the stuff is understandable but I figured they'd at least pull a Strike the Blood and have at least one decent nude scene. Nope.
Some stuff, like Clannad for instance, clearly doesn't need a bare tit in every scene. Some stuff though, like this, was clearly stunted just to pander to some imaginary group of "dedicated" anime streamers watching Hi Dive. I would not have bought this and tried to support the company if I knew the product would be this fucked up.
I bought Queen's Blade as well before I watched this, and figure if it is also censored I'll be done buying from them. Does anyone here know of any companies that sell decent stuff that is uncensored? I think I remember a few Funimation shows that were pretty raunchy, but I just want to avoid big name stuff if possible and support the industry while not ending up totally pissed at the decisions of the animators against the original work at minimum. Sentai has one uncensored work on their site from what I can tell.. for 95$. Halp
