If you were building a system and already had SO-DIMMs, maybe.

Otherwise, no, just buy RAM.

Clearance could be an issue, DIMM slots are typically very close to the CPU now and all but the weakest of air cooled HSFs will overhang the slots.

Is there a simple way to do it that doesn't require some expensive program? I've tried to make a simple search in the explorer directory for a word I could find when reading the pdf directly.

Hi, I wanted to know if there are ways to mask your data from the apparently legal spy apps. I know there's many restrictions to them, and in some cases they're even justifiable, but still.

If you're so fucked that someone has root access to your device, there's no way of "hiding" your shit from them short of booting off another OS or wiping the boot device & reinstalling the OS from a clean source.

The former is pretty easy to do, just have a flash drive and download a bootable live Linux environment, then use something like Rufus to build a bootable USB drive.

I'm going to assume you're talking about Hiren's Boot CD... which hasn't been updated since 2012 and runs off an old version of Windows PE.

If the drive is still readable then PhotoRec to recover data or TestDisk to try and undo whatever happened to the partition map.

If the drive is in the process of failing, using ddrescue to copy whatever sectors are readable to a zeroed drive is my go-to. Once it finishes you can run photorec on it, or dupe it to an image then run disk repair utilities... the image is in case repairing makes it worse, you can restore it back to it's original state without going through ddrescue all over again.

If you need a prebuilt distribution with ddrescue included, ubuntu rescue remix is still around, although it's performance on newer hardware may not be ideal.

Yes. Just root your phone or use Termux and you can have pretty much any server running on your phone.
If you want to make it visible to the internet you will require a non-carrier connection tho, either wifi or cable, since I doubt carriers give public IP.
Or if you have a device with public IP already you can set up a SSH tunnel between them.

I also have made her aunt pregnant and birthing two children cause she wanted I love her also but I won't get a DNA test over her wish of me being there or that's a cute for me? I don't remember his name; he was my very first cellie.

He was probably in his early seventies, thin, tall, and in excellent shape. His bunk looked ready for military inspection at all times — not a wrinkle anywhere — crisp, sharp folds.

He arrived just a few hours behind me. After making his bed up, he launched into an exercise routine.

I learned later that he had spent forty-seven years behind bars, more time incarcerated than I had been alive at that point. He started off with some minor infraction while in the military, and was sentenced to the brig. When he got out, his dishonorable discharge made it hard to fit back in. He would commit offense after offense and be sent back for increasingly long periods of time.

Life on the installment plan they call it.

He was institutionalized. He couldn't survive out in “the real world.” Nothing in forty-seven years of prison had ever taught him how to hold down a job or make ends meet on a paycheck.

I suspect he had never known a woman's love.

preemptive tl;dr: computer freezes and reboots by itself

i suspected a memory failure. using windows' tools and tertiary software, i ruled that out. i tested the hdd aswell. also out. ran malware tests too just in case, all clean
tomorrow im getting a new multimeter to check my psu (which is sorta new, if generic). anything i can use to check my cpu and mobo? shit is driving me crazy

a little background, pc has been malfuncioning for a while, but it got worse since an electric overcharge shot the original psu down. had to buy a new one and take out the mobo for repairs

specs: generic 550w psu
1tb hdd
4gb x2 ddr3 ram
apu a10 5800k cpu
a55bm-a/usb3 mobo
had this thing since 2014

You can disable automatic reboot in event of a kernel panic (BSOD), that'd come close to ruling out a crash causing the reset.

Right click on start, Run, sysdm.cpl, OK, advanced, settings under startup & recovery, uncheck the box next to automatically restart, ok, ok, reboot. Now if the OS crashes it'll stay at a blue screen. Pic related, it's the Win10 version of a BSOD.

But going into a completely new environment like Linux is a better test if you can live with it for long enough for you to be confident that it's not happening.

If its still happening I'd say your power supply is probably the cause. Never ever skimp on the PSU.

Or dual boot.
Get 2 HDs, one for windows one for *nix. One of the good things about mint is you can customise the bootloader. When I boot my PC I get a choice between the two and if I don't answer in 10 seconds it starts loading mint automatically, I could just as easily set it to default load windows, last used OS etc.

I say mint, you can do this with most bootloaders that come with a *nix distro, only this one didn't require any setup and autodetects other OSs so I plug in another drive with an OS e.g BSD or windows XP I could choose to boot that OS...
