I'll respond to yours because most of the thread seems like it's done by a bloody fucking bot.

>Girls und Panzer
Brilliant sports anime with some tasteful comedy and strangely absent is pedophile perverted pandering
>Hataruku Saibou
Modern shit. Are you young or something? Well at least you didn't say Made in the Abyss.
>Yowamushi Pedal
Didn't one of the head designers of studio Nue write this? Those guys had great talent in the late 70s and early 80s. That being said, it was another good sports anime but the classics still trump it heavily.
4. Pani Poni Dash
Comedy is comedy, and there are worse. From mid-decade I would rather Miname-ke
5. Haibane Ranmei
Good adult contemplative anime, I would recommend this to people if they typically cant' stomach sophist books.

Chiefarnio....I was one of he early posters on this thread. Ain't dead yet, but necroumping? why the hell not?
one thing though, Nice to see Pani Poni Dash getting some mentios. It wasn't comedy aimed at a pop culture crowd, and has aged well.
...Like the second half of Shuffle! (unless you played the VN/AXN). First half of series is haramtrash, the drama after isn't bad. Byt PPD, that's timeless.
and just to see if it's still bannable....

agreed. Nou-Rin was really under rated.
But for PPD, Becky wasn't even near my fav character. The side ones that stole scenes.
Akane Serizawa f'rinstance. Canon main character, got pushed to the second string for the anime.
Still made bicycle shorts a total must.

Sure was! I enjoyed the heck out of Muranase! Seton Gakuen. Critics hated it, but most of those were shounen fans anyway.
Wolf girl was my favorite.

>>37000
Kerebos Saga** it wads a typo; The Jin Roh series.

Also, none of my list is shonen but FLCL. that doesn't make sense. shonen is not a company it's anime for young men and teens. Most of my list is shinen.

>>37011
You mean Seinen?

Quote ~
"I will talk here about the difference between Shonen (少年) and Seinen (青年) and further how Shonen Manga (少年漫画) differs from Seinen Manga (青年漫画).

Shonen vs. Seinen

Although Shonen and Seinen are both Japanese words for young males, their definitions are indefinite and differ depending on the institution, law, or the like.

According to the articles 少年 and 青年 on the online Japanese encyclopedia Kotobank, more often than not, the ages these terms represent are as follows.

Shonen (少年)
Shonen refers to young boys and male teenagers aged 7 or 8 years to 15 or 16.

Seinen (青年)
Seinen refers to youths (particularly males) from late teens to 20s. But when emphasizing youthfulness, its definition even includes the 30s.

Shonen Manga vs. Seinen Manga
Shonen Manga

In terms of Shonen Manga (少年漫画) or Shonen-Shi (少年誌) and Seinen Manga (青年漫画) or Seinen-Shi (青年誌),

this article on the Japanese site Manga-Gai says that, as their names indicate,

Shonen Manga (少年漫画)
Shonen Manga refers to manga comics whose target age group is Shonen and whose content at least seven or so year-old children can understand.

Seinen Manga (青年漫画)
Seinen Manga refers to manga comics whose target readership is Seinen."

Shounen seems to involve battls. Fists, weapons, gundam, and the like. Lots of "power of friendship" or battles for life.

Seinen has elements of Shounen, but goes in different angles, and really, still have battles. But can have a lot more....silliness at times, and are often comedic.
Yozakura Quartet and recently, Combatants Will Be Dispatched are basically seinen.
Could have gone further, but beer.
