This thread reminded me that summer nights are fleeting and I should get out there and enjoy them because I'll be back to clomping around in my stupid boots trying not to break my bones on ice soon enough. I took some pics while I was at it.

Went for a quick ride on one of my motorcycles around 0200 local, and the moon was indeed quite cool.

Yep they are. Especially if you live up north. Cool pics! At the time of the full moon it still looked red and dusky because of the Canadian smoke. Glad that is all over now.

Oh wow 2am? I generally don't ride my bike that late. It isn't so much the deer and other animals in the road but you can't really see as much. I also don't on a full moon or if I ever have a full moon party because we usually have some drinks and most of them don't have a bike so yeah, that all doesn't mix.

Whatever happened to that anon that was riding around Japan in a motorscooter? Are they still here? Gotta do that sometime but it's so hot over there now.

On the other side or the world or anywhere really the moon can appear red or usually orangeish because of certain particles in the air that can filter certain wavelengths. Sometimes just normal atmospheric particles and sometimes a result of pollution. It's also interesting that on occasion a blue moon can really be the color blue! This is usually the result of a volcano erupting where the particles filter out more of the red and orange color and let's the blue wave spectrum shine through.

Yeah, I need to try to sometimes post earlier, but when I sort "feel" it is when I start writing. I haven't been late yet after all these years. It'd feel weird to set a reminder when I try to look at the moon everyday. I don't want to lose my feeling for the full moon becoming near.

You know it's funny. I was making beef stroganoff earlier and using some cheap flat iron steak cuts just to get rid of it and the usual ingredients with mushrooms etc and for some reason (I guess just to use them up) I cut up carrots really thin and added it to the cream sauce and finally skillet. Definitely not traditional but maybe a bit more nutritious!

Nothing wrong with a bit carrot in quite a lot of dishes. That could just be me though, yet in loads of recipes. So maybe not just me.
Yeah, sorry for getting on your case about posting a day earlier. What can say I'm lazy and should stop be so lazy. I so lucky I get great view, as long as it not over cast. I enjoy reading your posts even if I've been watching Luna out my window the entire night before.
So thanks for all the years you have put in.
