John Smith 23/02/17(Fri)00:08 No. 48567

Dear John,

Today I was making rounds of a local parking garage in search of food, spare change, unused booze, and piss bottles. I was quite surprised to find a taco that clearly had been run over. I think I remember surveying that parking area last night, but at worst it was yesterday afternoon, so I figured it's most likely still good, flattening notwithstanding.

After getting it back to my living quarters, I made an assessment it might be taco bell, or at least something very similarly constructed. The uh, "powdered" meat or whatever you call that stuff was certainly in effect, as was a general lack of any bold flavor. At first I thought perhaps it smelled just short of starting to go rancid, but then I remembered that taco bell always smells that way.

I eschewed opening it because it had become explosively ablative and I didn't care to go pick pieces of ran-over taco out of every nook and cranny, so I don't know what cheese it had or didn't have, but I presume it was the typical shreded plastic of the sort that taco bell is want to use.

All in all, free food was a highlight of my afternoon, so I declare the Schrodinger's Cheese "good" given the contet.

Yours,
John

The Cramps - Don't Eat Stuff Off The Sidewalk

Dear John,

One time I ate a trodden-upon fig newton of the sidewalk leading to my dorm. It tasted foul and I thought perhaps that was a mistake, but the night went well anyway until at about 3am I started puking and shitting at the same time for hours and then couldn't eat for three days. The confounding part of the story is that this was also one of the first times I'd tried drinking heavily - I believe about 8 to 10 shots of tequila - and so I got to wondering which one did it. It wasn't my first time drinking that much, so I wondered had I simply gotten lucky in the past, or was it the fig newton?

Well, John, the answer to that mystery came much later on. It turned out that in the course of that night's hijinks I had become slightly exposed to a rather deadly substance from some broken apperati left outside the chemistry department for disposal (whoopsie! bet that sent some heads rolling when they figured it out). But as for the burrito, I'm doing just fine, and I was able to determine while sorting out my collection of plastic shopping bags, that in fact it did have shredded plastic Taco Bell style cheese of the "American Orange" color. If it did not nourish my body, it at least made me feel better.

Yours,
John

John;

With regard to cheese, I must first describe how reliably I have found, in my further escapades, that people who get mcdondald's takeout almost invariably finish the entire contents; wendys usually nearly all gone, except for some sauce or crumbs; but chick-fil-a is total madness, and not simply because they pull so much business in my new parking lot that half the local garbage cans overflow with it.

But the funny part is that each bag is tagged with a name (and a car, in the case of drive through). Now, I'm not sure how big this bag is exactly, but I'm going to say you could fit probably 1.5 gallons of milk in there. And it had boxes, straws utensils, sauces, a plater, the bottom 1/4 of it was an ocean of sauses with unopened sauces floating on top, and there were two burgers, fries dangling from every dangle point of the interior architecture, a lone half tendy desperately trying not to drown, one of the fries was like a 1/2" solid slab of the side of a potato (I assume the waffle fry machine gagged at the enormity of the order), both sweet tea and a coke, another box of nugggets that had been completely ragaved except for another ketchup that clearly had malfunctioned due to over-excited squeese pressure without first twisting off the squeeze tab, and no fewer than three tubs of mac & cheese. And to whom did this half-aborted vomitarium-tier feast go? It went to one "Jill" in a "Black SUV." I assume Jill might work at the physical therpay joint outside of wich I foundd it, and I will have to see if there is a Jill working there so I can send pictures to all her co-workers.

But on the subject of cheese, there were remnants in one of the mac & cheeses. I was surprised to find out that it was not just a heap of velveta or something, but that they managed to give it a very distinct farmer's cheese texture and flavor. For fast food, I'm impressed with this attention to detail, and once again rate chick-fil-a among the better goyslop joints.

Yours once more,
John

John,

I can't say that I countenance goyslop in general. I'm not a fan of the so-called dirty bulk, and on a cut obviously it's all the more relevant to cook at home to control things. So when I do imbibe, be it the odd road trip or a holiday, I figure I might as well go whole hog unless it's the kind of a hard cut where being hungry all the time just feels good. It's an odd thing how well the orange squares compliment fast food burgers. I believe the secret might be exposed best by 5 guys, where the burger itself is relatively tasetless, but the fury of a million toppings all counteract each other into the kind of clusterfuck where no one dreary component really has a chance to sink the ship.

On that note, I found the most delightful thing this morning. I thought at first somebody had used a large chick-fil-a bag to throw out handful upon handful of sauces until I found the reciept. Somebody ordered 10 extra ketchups (these additional to the complimentary ones that came with the burgers) and used 1.5 ketchups and threw out all the rest. Who was this masked mad man, you ask?

It was, "RILEYYYYYYYYYYYYY" (I counted) in a gray sedan. And then, inside the big bag was a little bag. This "RILEYYYYYYYYYYYYY" went back inside for more and thusly slipped up and revealed that her true name is Riley Obradovich. Now, I distinctly remember seeing her eye me like a holocaust jew watching a nazi guard approach earlier today, and she was in fact hunching and lurching away from the very garbage can where I found this. I remember clearly because I was wondering to myself "is that a jew? there aren't a lot of jews around here.."

She did not leave behind any cheese. Most likely she was afraid a rabbi might notice she was eating Christian food that most likely used the same knife to pepare both the meat and the cheese, in violation of talmduic law.

Careful out there,
John

I amfinding it hard to get an answer to this search question
"james joyce, ulysses, 'there aren't many jews in ireland'"
I will probably have to go to the private library where I am a member. At least they will have copies of his works.
The public library, has sadly been destoryed, the lack of books.
They seem to have some thing against people read from books.
Odd for a library, I think anyway.
Where I live we have one of the largest Jewish comunities in the world. They have their own libraries and very good ones I hear.
Anyway I have not eaten any cheese today or seen anyone eating cheese either.

John,

No James Joyce? That's absurd. Surely google books would have a copy (although I haven't used it in years, to the UI probably sucks and requires a digital penis inspection to access or whatever.) Failing that, surely a univerisity library would have it. They might not let you check it out, but often anyone can wander in and look at the books during normal hours. Assuming they haven't set up TSA checkpoints or something these days (you remember that book bomber!) Also sounds like the kind of thing that might sell for pennies off amazon.

My reading carreer ended before sampling JJ, even though I've always wanted to give it a shot. One of my english teachers said it was terrible, but her mind isn't quite as deranged as mine. Oh and I found chinese today, including an entire uneated eggroll that actually had meaty chunks in it instead of stewed mystery vegetables and specks of ground up rat. No cheese, as expected, but free food is free food eh.

Best,
John

John,

oh, there was a lot of JJ and the Jewish comunity results.
Lots of them. It seems the few lines I was looking for at the start of either Ulysses or the Dubliners. Have caused a problem and therefore need to be kept out sight (and out of peoples minds).
My uni's, where I live were open 35-25 years ago. Hence payig for a private library.
In the last 20 years they have become fortress, card entry, guards, etc...
They to are also getting rid of the books, wierd I know. Yet it is true, a friend in IRL tipped me off. They are by sold cheap to a company which then turns a big profit on a large % of these books, as they are valuable. I mean $200 for just one out of print book and thier getting rid of at least 5000 books a week.
Well you could probably afford to treat yourself to some cheese you like.
Hope you find some thing nice today.
Also really look in to the dumpster diving in the posh super markets, don't let all the rich middleclass kids playing at being poor get in your way.

Stay free and happy
as ever

Dear John,

made it to the library yesterday. Some one had stolen The Dubliners by JJ. What a world. Thankfully there was still a copy in the Ref section.

Read for an hour plus, also Ulysses and couple of others, just the satrs lokoking for the lines, I was hoping to find.
Nothing going, may just get pf'ds and run a seach time on them.
Although now leckie ooks are being rewritten. Is there a check sum for the original works even avilable?

Pro tip for Uylsses just read the last seven pages.

Anyway hope your having way better results with your continuing quest for free food.

A checksum on books? How curiously numerical. I was ruminating on the prospect of why you would be fining sucess at a jewish library, the rotten decay of language, and mysticism of ages the other night, but then I also got to wondering whether this or cheese would be unfitting for a particularly uninteresting converstaion.

But my conclustion was that I should like to hear what you find about that passage, because it ties in to all of the above, and so I request that you make it particularly uninteresting.

As for the cheese, I am faces with a similar roadblock in that I have encountered a many unexpectedly unremarkable cheeses that really are all shit an not remarkable. But my favorite was a rather daring and bold salad that not only included tha typical large-girth shredded multicolor american food service fare, but also a few crumbles of immitation feta or whatever it was supposed to be. But what made the salad bold and daring was everything other than the cheese. It did not stop at crisp greens, which are always a blessing from discarded fare. It did not stop at a few berries and charming nuts that adequately hid going stale with a variety of mild acidic layers. It was not just the shreds of garden radish, which you'd think woul put off all the adult children who throw away perfectly good food. It was the pickled beets. This is truly a salad flourishing from strengnth of purpose.

And whoever bought it did not see a need to smother it in dressing. And it was mostly devoured, especially including what only hard boild eggs and some scraps of meat could leave behind. Alas, no mark nor device on who or what sold this salad, unlike having your cell phone number stuck to the side of your bag if you do a pick-up orer at chick-fil-a.
>hey uh is this JOSH? Do you drive a red mercedes? Did you just orer a pickle slider and then throw out the pickles? By the way, JOSH, why don't you try to get at least half of the sauces on the food instead of spilling down the inside of your bag, JOSH? Do you have trouble stuffing both hands in there at once while it's attached to your mouth?

Hi John of another country,

Hmmmm, how to not make this, ah blow it. This bread has got a life of its own now.

Well Jewish library, I think you may be mixing up the last post I made.
Although The library I'm a member of was built and paid for by Freemasons, some of those will have been Jewish. I guess, the frists four levels of freemasonry being the same for Jews and Christians. After that thiers splits off.
The library is that old, those were only religions, around or allowed.
Now the check sums are I believe going to be important as books are being rewritten, it is such a crime. So being able to tell if in the future the book you have is indeed what it claims it is, I feel is valid. I mean books have started to be rewritten already.
Yes I am rather fond of numbers, Letters, words, I have to continually battle with every day or I start to decline. Sad.

So you got a good salad, shame about the cheese, Feta is prefered for salad, lets be honest. A bit of Italian hard cheese is pleseant. Pickled beetroot and onions, well yes piclkles indeed, although the acidity, yes.

Oh, I do hope you find this conversation particulary uninteresting.

I have made no further effort, in the jj quote direction, as I have been side tracked by other books to read and other books being returned to me. I hope more of my books find their way home to. Espceaily the ones people stole. yes i think i would enjoy tha and to read those books again.

Anyway as ever

John

I used to like brown women, in fact I was pretty open to all the races sexually, I thought they were all sexually attractive and interesting in their own way but somehow that waned and gradually changed and now I am stuck with finding only mostly white women attractive, I am not sure how it came to be or happened. I just see brown skin and I am just not really into it, it's quite strange honestly to think how this could have happened if it was purely psychological or biological somehow.

John,

Feta is indeed glorious for a salads. I presume you're in the levant or thereabouts where it's probably a better play than here. I'd crumble some amish blue perhaps if I had the heavy weight of money to pick. Thank you for wishing me well eating what others discard. I'd call it obscene except that I'd be starving without it :D 40 days and 40 night oy vey imagine going hungry in the US even without leaning on churches or food banks or whatever else

But I've come upon the most obnoxious cheese. I thought at first it was kind of immitation midwest deep fried cheese curds. But then there were triangular deep fried patties of literally mac & cheese cheese in the middle. It shook me to my core even though I was greatful somebody else thought it was too disgusting to eat.

John, I wish you the best on your literary adventures. If I'm still alive and eating God's worst and most punishing cheese, then you ight still have something to give back to the world.

Hi John,

Been a while, I haven't sloved the jj riddle yet or rather tried again.
We both have something strange to give back to the world, a slice of life very few will ever view. I feel so ba crap, that I live on the other side of the world and could quite easily have feta cheese every day and cheaply. Well now food price are just going up and up maybe not so cheaply. I use to eat feta cheese a lot over ten years ago. Wow it was so cheap back, I was sub human bck then and could still a ford it. Now it like as expensive as this 'amish blue' you speak of.
Well your knowledge of cheese is greater than mine. I grow up and if the chees was not orange I would eat it. There are some bonuses to growing older, I guess.
Well as always hope to here from you again and have a littke more to say. Although thats doubt full.
And may the God's look down favourably on your foraging for food and deliever you up something wonderful.

John,

I regret to inform you that, in the meanwhile, I've found an extravaganza - nay, a smorgasbord - of discarded delights; yet, to a tee, they have all suffered from the plastic extruded cheese process so commonly found in the US despite our overabundance of milk and dairy processing capabilities. I even found something sold out of France that claimed to be a cheese substitute (can you imagine? the land of fromage?) and the ingredients were
>modified food starch
and it was labeled vegan. the last ingredient was B12 lol. On this holy day of Easter, Holy Jesus Christ. Let Him turn water into wine, and teach a man to fish, not this unearthly crap!

As for the Amish, they sell this bluecheese and also gorganzola at a competative price. It's not expensive at all. The only thing is that it's not labeled as being made from raw milk. But it's also not labeled as being pasturized or kosher. The Amish aren't stupid. So you can't be sure, and they have their own kind of mafia of course, but it's consistent and delightful in an era where the economy no longer supports domestic raw cheese in wide distribution and the foreign cheeses are relatively expensive.

Keep digging for knowledge and let us know what you find. If I'm not here to hear it, perhaps somebody else will,
John

Horrifying news update.
I had take a journey recently. Where we (the driver and myself) stopped a service place. I went with the driver to a americain fast food outlet. where I was told there were no burgers, only breakfast foods, I use that term very loosely.
Well there was nothing that looked like breakfast food of my country, so I ahd to go for flatbread, bacon and cheese.
Oh my lord, what is that orange stuff, for it isn't cheese.
It was like nothing I have every ecountered in my life.
Melted orange wax crayons, is the closed disciption I can give.
The bacon was cut so thin I thought it was ham.
Well at least the flatbread was ok.
I can't belive 100,000's of these things are sold each day in my country. I mean people are repeating the same mistake over and over again.
I hope this horrorifying news, finds you well, and safe from that unnameable orange stuff.

Feta cheese can be found at varying prices, I have yet purchase any and test them. Will give you an update when do.
Till then take care.
