I was really infatuated with it for all of one websurf, made >>7554, and never got back to it.

lol, there's slightly more to it..

In this case I scanlined the image, did a red/cyan shift, merged some layers, added the text. The font choice was part of it too (deliberately blocky).

Vaporsomething?

I've never heard it be called flashwave. Usually people call it fashwave. In my experience.

Google supports this. I did find some resources with 'flashwave', but a lot more with 'fashwave'.

You may find this hard to believe, but at the time I rendered >>7554, I was not aware that I might be participating in an alt-right circle-jerk.

I honestly thought this was a kind of social commentary; turns out that's only what people who "ironically" are alt-right glass sorters say about it.

It's easy to make parodies of. Like "Get back into my ass!"

The red and blue shift thing in that image is chromatic aberration, also seen in the image attached to this post.

Yeah, that's one of the things I did to the image.

My question was about the genre, which to my horror and shame has been revealed as the alt-right circle jerk that is "fashwave".

Sad that a style with so much potential is wasted on a movement with so little intellect, but that's the way the internet crumbles.
