I haven't played this game in years, have no idea if it is still a thing, but I miss Seventh Haven. Good memories. SeVenezuela on eRepublik was fun as well.

It's still a thing. In fact, the sequel has been released. Unfortunately there's a really dumb monetisation model, and you have to opt into it even to access legacy Haven & Hearth.

The devs seem to be updating very freqeuntly, at least.

I never get why developers do this kind of shit nowadays. Why don't they just put a price on a game, and call it a day? They invest so much in microtransactions it actually worsens the game nowadays.

If you knee the basics of business you'd understand why micro transactions are preferred over just paying for the game now, since millennials are buying games more than any other generation since. Considering that video games went from a somewhat small industry in the 90s to a billion dollar industry in just a couple years. That is remarkable growth.

lolno, they're just a way to garner sales from the generation that doesn't keep track of their finances to the point that they exasperatedly exclaim on a regular basis that they don't make enough money. Not because they don't, but because they spend it as fast as they make it, if not faster.
