Should malwarebytes be taking this long to do a full rootkit scan? My pictures folder itself has over 3000 or so files with 207 folders and i have 803 gbs of space left from 930.

Well, you have 15 items identified, perhaps one of them has latched onto HD operations.

Also you may want to note that 3.0 is out. Still free for scans, although you can't easily opt out of the "trial" of the full real-time version.
