Okay, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but an opportunistic channer interested to see if the price of Air Malaysia had crashed after the disasters. Since they are more or less simply an unfortunate happenstance, the fundamental value of the airline shouldn't be any less and should correct itself over time. On this assumption, I started some research and you know what, the price of the airline crashed one week before the first plane went missing. What the fuck is going on? Check out the one year charts for their share price on any website and the dates for both disasters. Riddle me that.

If you cruise the local thrift stores, particularly the alternative ones, you can luck out and find some cheap beaten Demonia or something, Demonia quality is shit though. You will probably never find New Rocks like you have pictured for too cheap but you could be insanely lucky. TBH you should probably just get a used pair of English-made Docs that will last you forever if you take care of them, and go for a trad-goth look with thrift store black clothing.

I actually have one goth friend who lives in a crazy thrifty fashion, and one of her main sources of income is buying tons of shit from very cheap thrift stores and selling them to nicer exchange stores, but she knows that business.

>>2541
Same friend collects boots in any size she can, if it's too small you can cram a few different insoles in there and make them fit. You can also find nice insoles inside of shoes in thrift stores.

Follow all these to save/make money.

1. Do not drink or do drugs. If drink regularly and you find yourself here and broke, there's your problem. You need to deal with that before you can fix your money problems. No thrifty living tip will keep you wealthy and drunk or high, ever.

2. Use reusable house ware items. Do not use paper towel or plastic wrap. Ikea has kitchen towels for $0.50 each. Get about 5 and use them to wipe messes, blow your nose, everything. Get some cheap plastic containers to store food.

3. Shop around and identify the value retailers. Some grocery stores cater to the middle and upper class, and others lower, so find the lower. Depending on your location, there might be small family-run markets that sell fruits and vegetables a little cheaper.

4. Break the spending habit. Stop the psychological justifications your have to buy games, clothes, computer shit, etc. You may need to give all your money for a trusted friend/partner. You should be buying groceries each week and that's all.

5. Always be learning. You can go from zero to a $50k job in a few months if you commit yourself to learning software development online. This may take a large lifestyle change that means no more LoL, Youtube, chans, etc. For starters, see Codecademy and CS50.

6. Don't drive a car. Ride the bus or bike and move if necessary.

Here's a 1 week shopping list (priced from an expensive region, store brand stuff):

this. if you don't eat a nutritional meal, and just eat junk every day, that'll enable to become sick more often. being sick more often will just have you spending more money on your health. this is the opposite of what we want.

What are your thoughts on dollar stores? I'm not too sure on buying food from there, mainly because all of the stores in my area are shady, but what about toiletries? Would it be worth buying my soap there, rather than a drugstore or supermarket?

Tiny Homes Modern Mom 14/10/19(Sun)23:28 No. 2413 ID: c32dd5 [Reply]

Does anyone have experience or interest in building tiny homes? They are usually 100-300 sq/ft. made of found and recycled materials cheaply. Some run on solar and wind power. I work a part-time job and I'm thinking of starting a tiny house project. I can buy some materials and there's plenty of scrap around me to use. I have some carpentry skills and general know-how. Anyone interested in the tiny, minimal, cheap life?

Tiny house might be good if you got a little bit of money for lot rent and to pay someone to hook up your power cable, but you also need a decent sized vehicle to haul it

My protips: wear polyester undershirt, undies, longjohns and polyester dress pnts, leather jacket or polyester windbreaker or blazer, get the Summerweight Ozark trail 40 degree bag from Walmart or other similar supermicro bag, and a messenger bag to put that and your laptop in. Get some dress shoes with a walking sole. Get polyacrylic hiking socks. -homeless four years and counting. Thanks America!
Oh yeah and wear a white silk or polyester dress shirt. White cotton gets grimy instantly, silk looks great for months without washing

Also you can maybe try just buying a sleeping bag liner, for warmer months that will fit in your pocket. Switch from tablet to cheap tracphone android.

Another good investment would be a cheap roadbike, then plop 200$ to put tannus airless tires on it.

Pressure Cookers Modern Mom 16/02/10(Wed)19:09 No. 2809 ID: fe3665 [Reply]

Get yourself a pressure cooker. With it you can save on energy and food costs.
Faster cooking time = Less energy spent
Legumes and cheap meat cooks faster = cheaper food
Seriously, you can buy the most crappy cuts with most connective tissue and the pressure cooker will dissolve all that and you end up with delicious meat. Also cooking beans for example is a lot less hassle when you don't have to cook it for hours and hours.
Your relative probably has one somewhere that is useless to them lying around. They used to be a fad .

NEGATIVE.
You want a crock pot. Its way safer, and low stream of energy used. Plus coming home to a hot, cooked meal is awesome are waking up to warm breakfast oatmeal. etc.
So easy to prepare.

Slow cookers are so fucking important anon.
I mostly eat stew and soup. And eggs for breakfast. Easy, cheap. Leave it plugged in on low, go to work, come home and eat right away.
