I am thirty in less than three months. Once upon a time, I spent hours on 7chan every night. Now I check it maybe twice a year. I wonder if 7chan will be here in another ten years? I wonder what all my old friends are doing now? I feel like those than also frequented here back then are all in a similar situation to me now. Different lives, obviously, but I doubt they check here much.

Well, I'm glad I might be wrong. I like this website and I hope it's around for a long, long time.

Hello, John. I just recently posted a thread remarkably similar in situation to yours. Unfortunately I decided to post the thread well in advance of reading the others. This was an error in judgment in retrospect.

There is nothing wrong with wondering if 7chan will be here in another 10 years. I wondered the same thing. However, it seems like there is as will to make exactly that happen. Too many have fond memories of 7chan. Enough to sustain it. Perhaps they developed new memories and acquaintances that are worth the host bill. I'm sorry to say I have not contributed to the host bill, but there are a lot of needy children in Africa I also have ignored, so I don't feel quite that bad.

Life is not what any of us expected it to be, but the human experience is not quite what any of us expected, I've learned to expect.

Perhaps they're lurking among us? Don't worry about it too much. John . I'm sure they haven't forgotten about you. I know i certainly haven't forgotten any kind people I've met over the years. Who knows? Perhaps they're out on bigger and greater things in their lives. But their memory lives on with you so what not going to change unless you forget

Hello John,

It has been a long time since I have made my way around these parts. I am not doing very well. Today I folded at least one hundred pieces of paper. It is raining.

Hello John,

Thank you for your concern, I'm doing well. I hope you are feeling fine also.
The weather is nice. It just snowed a few days ago, but it's warm enough to walk outside without freezing. Spring will be coming soon.
What's your favorite season?

-John

I really love soda. I can't get enough it.

Do you like soft drinks?

The whole San Pellegrino range is enjoyable, mostly for the flavors but also a bit for that feeling of "well at least it isn't the most sugary drink I could be having right now so that's almost like being healthy."

If you get your hands on chinotto, that one's worth a try. The bitter orange flavor won't be everyone's thing, but it'w worth trying for the unique taste alone.

I do love me some soda. It's something i cant get enough of but is something that needs limiting. Too much of many things is bad for you.

Hello John, I've recently been enjoying the mixed drink or cocktail, if you prefer, know as the "White Russian. I find it's creamy and smooth texture to be rather pleasing and quite the boon after a hard days work.
The beverage is mildly exotic but not at all displeasing; perfect for sharing with polite company after a rich dinner.
What beverages or mixed drinks do you enjoy at the end of each day?

Yours in curiosity,
John.

John Smith 18/03/08(Thu)00:55 No. 46448

Greetings, John.

I used to enjoy a straight Scotch quite regularly in the evenings. At one point I conjured up a cocktail of Scotch, Amaretto, dark chocolate sauce and milk, which I found to be to my liking.

I have since greatly reduced my intake of alcoholic beverages, limiting myself to meager amounts in social settings. This has been mostly due to me choosing marijuana over alcohol as my "glass of wine in the evening", if you will, as well as recognising the not-so-jolly scenarios the consumption of alcohol often leads to. Having said that, tonight I have indulged in some Grappa Chardonnay, a bottle of which I had kept around since June of the previous year. This very unusual minor carousal of mine owes to a notoriously disappointing day, but I shall spare you the details, John, as I am sure you have your own worries to tend to.

I must say, however, I've always found the bottle of Ketel One Vodka rather pleasing to look at.

Yours truthfully,
John

Lately I have found myself going for walks late at night, pondering, gazing at the universe, and all I wish to have is someone to experience it with me. Yet it seems as if none of my friends are night owls. I don't like being alone this much. Any similar experiences, John?

>>
John Smith 18/03/06(Tue)20:37 No. 46447

I find it hard to imagine contemplating the majesty of the universe with friends. I like having friends, and I like looking at the night sky while walking quiet sidewalks and trails. Where it trips me up is trying to do both at the same time. The time I spend appreciating the company of my friends is time I don't get to take in the night atmosphere, and time I spend soaking up the universe is time I'm not spending paying attention to my friends.

I sincerely hope to be proven wrong about this one day by experiencing a late night walk with friends.

I just realized I forgot to refill my phone and went the past 3 days without noticing. The alarm clock functioned though and I use it mostly for that.

>>
John Smith 18/02/02(Fri)12:50 No. 46418

The alarm application on my phone requires one to specify the day for which the alarm is to be set. Failure to specify it leads to it assuming that the alarm is for 6 days in the future. This... feature has put me in unfortunate situations, especially when I am too tired to remember to set the day.

Do you set your alarms for 6 days in the future, John?

I apologize for making you wait on my reply John. My phone is old, actually a cheap flip phone, so I have never had to deal with any sort of "app". This actually gives me a slight feeling of satisfaction.
People can text me all they want, I cannot read them as the screen has been cracked for the past 5 years. More satisfaction.
I can only set the alarm to go off 5 times, so this gets set each night when I go to bed. I don't even know if I will be around 6 days in the future John. I hope so though, as I do have a vacation next month.
